(I had a cupcake for dinner. At some point I should probably see about real food. But it was a really good cupcake!)

Ooh, stripey socks!

I have the most appalling luck with socks. Two to into the wash, but all too often only one seems to come out...

I only *wish* I had socks that kick-ass - I used to buy cool socks, but after perpetually losing one of each pair, no matter how careful I was, I gave up and now they're all black. that way, it doesn't matter so much if the occasional sock wanders away (and they do) because they all look mostly the same to the casual onlooker. (but I miss the awesome argyle socks I used to have)

that sounds right - my dad had a big bush in the side yard, in just that red/purple combination. I was fascinated by the blooms

I think I dressed clothespins in them when i was very young.

It was spinach, purple potato, and red onion! With paprika and Swiss, because, hey. I then proceeded to eat about 5/12 of it in one sitting, because that is how I roll.

Oh goodness that sounds amazing!

I used to get purple potatoes in my CSA basket back when I lived in Davis. They were yummy -- and good for freaking out the uninitiated.

It actually wound up being two cupcakes. One, I can't for the life of me remember what it was supposed to be but it was pink and tasty; the other was a cranberry cupcake that was the perfect balance of sweet and salty. YUM. Our locally-owned cupcake place does gluten-free cupcakes that are absolutely da bomb. I will probably stop on my way home from the lab and get some more, because I am hooked...
